Engineers Without Borders is planning their second annual flagship event of the year: “Beyond Borders: Food”, on October 22nd in Roone Arledge Auditorium This event will highlight how the food and food systems compare in each of the developing communities we partner with (Ghana, Uganda, and India) as well as in NYC. The event will be similar in form to Beyond Borders 2008, including a cultural dinner with authentic food from our community partner's countries, performing groups, and a guest speaker.
Beyond Border’s vision this year is to elucidate the cultural and social contexts, as well as the systemic factors that contribute to what we eat, how we get it, and how we eat it. This will be facilitated by interactive tabling presentations by various student groups at the outset of our event.
